BASILICO contains 100 g/l (9.1% w/w) mesotrione as a suspension concentrate formulation. It is a selective post-emergence herbicide for the control of annual broad-leaved weeds in forage and grain maize. As a triketone herbicide (Group 27), it acts as a 4-HPPD inhibitor disrupting the formation of pigments required for photosynthesis.
